Subsonic laminar/turbulent flow in de Laval nozzle
In previous subsection, the Laval Nozzle is introduced and the 1-D model and Fluent simulations are presented. In this subsection, more detail about how to simulate the subsonic laminar/turbulent flow in de Laval nozzle is given.
Subsonic laminar flow in de Laval nozzle
To run the case, the source-code can be downloaded here. To start the simulation, from
- $\texttt{blockMesh}$: Building the grid
- $\texttt{rhoSimpleFoam}$: Simulation
- $\texttt{paraFoam}$: Post-processing
Subsonic turbulent flow in de Laval nozzle
The same procedure has to be followed using the sourse-codes for different turbulence models: $ k-\epsilon $ and $ k-\omega $ SST. Taking a look at the post-processing results show that by using a turbulence model, the results are still similar to laminar case. More details were described in the previous subsection.
